Code of the Damned
“We may be monsters… but we still have rules. Break them, and the Beast won’t be your only problem.”
Whether you're a neonate just Embraced or an elder with centuries behind you, these rules apply to all. Our LARP is built on trust, collaboration, and respect — both in and out of character. Read carefully. Ignorance is not an excuse.
1. Safety First, Story Second
- This is a horror game, but real people matter more than fiction.
- Consent is mandatory. Use out-of-character communication when needed.
- Hard limits and safety tools (X-Card, look-downs, tap-outs) are respected without question.
- If someone calls a stop for safety, the scene ends. No debate.
2. This is a Collaborative Storytelling Game
- We’re here to tell dark, compelling stories together.
- Winning isn’t the goal — interesting consequences are.
- No godmoding, metagaming, or overriding another player’s agency.
- Work with the Storytellers to build drama, not to “win.”
3. Use the Laws of the Night System (V5)
- We use the Laws of the Night rulebook (V5-inspired).
- All character sheets must be Storyteller-approved before play.
- Mechanics like Disciplines and XP are simplified for LARP.
- Rules dispute? Pause, check, involve an ST. No rush over accuracy.
4. Stay In-Character in Game Space
- Once you enter play space: speak, act, and dress like your character.
- Use OOC indicators (crossed fingers, orange bands) when needed.
- Need a break? Step out or let an ST know.
5. Respect the Setting and Each Other
- Don’t disrupt scenes that aren’t about you. Ask to join, or spectate quietly.
- No hate speech, harassment, or abusive behavior.
- Kindred politics can be brutal. Player behavior shouldn’t be.
6. Report Problems Promptly
- We can’t fix what we don’t know.
- Speak with a Storyteller or staff member privately.
- We handle all issues discreetly and seriously.
- Harassment or unsafe behavior = removal.
Violation Consequences
- Temporary suspension from game
- XP or character penalties
- Permanent removal from the community
This is meant to be fun. Let’s keep it that way — for everyone.
